23 for 2023

I’m not usually a big fan of New Year’s resolutions, but I was feeling demotivated about a week into January and I felt like I needed something to aim for. However I didn’t want any big goals, but rather lots of small ones that can hopefully give me something to look back on and make me feel pleased with all the things that I have done. So here are my 23 for 2023:

(we’re already half way through February I know and some of these may no longer be applicable, but I did finish this list in mid January, I just hadn’t quite got around to posting this here)

  1. Run a sub 18:30 parkrun
  2. Become stronger
  3. Be able to do the crow pose in yoga
  4. Be able to do at least 5 good magic tricks
  5. Be able to solve a Rubik’s Cube
  6. Get a tan
  7. Get a tattoo
  8. Average screen time <1 hour per day
  9. Weigh at least 69kg
  10. Be happy with my hair
  11. Be a good brother to my siblings and a good son to my parents
  12. Give blood
  13. Volunteer at least 10 times
  14. Give an amazing best man speech
  15. Chat to the same person after at least 3 parkruns
  16. Make a friend on holiday
  17. Join a new community of people that share a similar interest
  18. Go on a date with someone that I meet IRL
  19. Meet new people who are also cricket crazy
  20. Make more money than I spend
  21. Have a happy and stable living situation
  22. Make memories that make me laugh really hard
